Introducing the “Siren” emblem and the “Dot Matrix”

Galway, Ireland – Siren, the leading provider of advanced investigation technology for Law Enforcement and National Security agencies worldwide, today announced the launch of its new logo and brand identity. The rebrand, which debuted in July 2023, captures the company’s dual mission and its unique patented technology – the Semantic Information Retrieval Engine (SIREN) – while reflecting the trust, familiarity, and global recognition the brand has earned.

The new emblem, simply called The Siren, and as a 3D concept, the “data point” consists of the intersection of various data types, seen in the different colours. It is composed of two key elements:
- A signal of vigilance – representing Siren’s role as a system that alerts to threats, helping agencies act decisively.
- A nod to SIREN technology – highlighting the Semantic Information Retrieval Engine at the core of the platform, which fuses massive volumes of disparate data into a single investigative view.
A distinctive dotted motif, known internally as the “dot matrix”, forms the foundation of the logo’s design. The dot matrix is a visual metaphor for the enormous volumes of complex, disparate data that Siren’s technology brings together, individual points becoming meaningful patterns when connected. It visually captures the essence of Siren’s work, fusing fragmented information into clear, actionable intelligence. The dot matrix symbolizes the vast and varied datasets that Siren unites, helping investigators connect the dots in complex cases.

The rebrand was a collaborative effort led by designer Daniel Southgate and Siren’s Chief Marketing Officer Rachel Kavanagh. The creative brief called for a visual identity that was contemporary yet timeless, one that resonated with Siren’s worldwide customer base while avoiding overly “bleeding edge” aesthetics that could undermine trust.
“Our brand is used by investigators in some of the most critical missions around the world,” said Rachel Kavanagh, CMO of Siren. “We wanted to create an identity that feels modern and distinctive, but also instantly trustworthy and familiar. The new logo reflects both our technology and our purpose.”
